Biblioteca Accursio - Milano, Italy
16/10/2023 - 31/10/2023
Elena Datrino presents in Milan from 16 October 2023 at the Accursio library in Milanthe exhibition Facce da Blogger curated by Tiziano M. Todi, dedicated to over one hundred bloggers photographed in Italy between 2014 and 2020, protagonists of the exhibition itinerary.
With this photographic project Elena Datrino managed to immortalize the interpreters of a generation, a fast era like the one we are living in, through the images of Italian digital creatives in the web 2.0 era; with crisp and brilliant photographic portraits, she highlights the faces of those who animate the digital world. For each of them the artist created a photographic set capable of capturing the personality and peculiarities of the character.
The "Facce da Blogger" project born in 2015 has been exhibited over the years in galleries and festivals throughout Italy, enriching itself, each time, with further and unpublished portraits, with the aim of contributing to giving a new look at a change in act.
Facce da Blogger is also an interactive book created together with the graphic designer Antonella Provasi: for each printed portrait a corresponding QRCODE will forward the reader to more than 100 web pages, each dedicated to a photographed protagonist. The book, published in 2023 by Gangemi Editore, is a precious document, a testimony to the positive impact of digital in our society and the cultural ferment that bloggers have brought to Italy.

11/05/2021 - 11/09/2021
“Milan C19” reportage, started during the quarantine and during the pandemic spring of 2020.
In the urban desert, places take on a symbolic meaning. The silence and light of the sunny spring days have given voice to the space: the architecture and design of the buildings, squares and streets are the precious nest in which our life takes place. The sculptures seem to come alive, transforming their immobility into a conscious presence. The surreal beauty of the city is a colorless scenography in which people appear very small. Small as perhaps we are feeling in the face of everything we are experiencing.
